Free Sarah Palin...

She’s doing just fine being herself! That’s the head title of The Wall Street Journal-opinion this morning. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122300588457301501.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
Now those of you who know me should know that I am usually not into politics, I’m not an Economics major and I don’t claim to be all knowing on the subject. I am a republican and I have been all my life. Yes I am only 24 and have only been able to vote once but I am however EXTREMELY patriotic and my country means a lot to me. I was extremely impressed with Sarah Palin last night. She held her head high and spoke with much confidence. As I said before I'm no expert on the subject but I do know right from wrong. When she was talking about how bad our economy is there were two things that really stuck out to me. She said that (I am paraphrasing) we as the American people need to stop living outside our means and that the federal government need to take a step back and maybe live a little less luxurious. How many times in the church have we heard to live within our means? Budget budget budget! I found it very interesting that she would put it this way. She went on to have many other great points and it was as if she almost took the politics out it and got down to the nitty gritty. I do have to say that I don’t think McCain would be much without her. I know she has been getting a lot of hype about being a hunter and hardcore but my gracious who better to help get the job done that a BA woman with fabulous morals? I’m not sure how many of you watched it last night but you see a huge difference between Governor Palin and butt face Biden. When he would answer/comment it was if he had this sign that flashed across his forehead “Liberal cocky politician”! When the Governor would speak you could feel the spirit, she looked right into the camera to talk to the American people not to Gwen. There are a reason people like her so much. She has that light about her. You know throughout life you meet people, get to know them and you just know they would be a fabulous Mormon? I think she is one of those people. I am very happy to have Mrs. Palin on board with McCain; she will keep him in line, and make a fabulous VP.

Sheesh...that last comment seems rather uncalled for. Anyways, I'm kind of worried for Palin because so many people say that she doesn't give straight answers and she's inexperienced. It's weird being around so many democrats (public education is filled with them) after having attended BYU in the land of the republicans. She does really seem like a genuinely nice lady though.

Ok so the novel comment was a little uncalled for. I think Maghan made a valiant effort to state her own opinions on Palin. She didn't ask for a nasty rebuttal from an obviously bitter person. Palin was brilliant in the debate and killed it and few can deny that. Biden is an idiot. McCain found an excellent VP. Wish I could say the same for Obama. Sucks to be him right now.

I agree with you girl! Just watching Palin answer the questions, and her facial expressions… she really seemed genuinely concerned about the American people and the issues at hand. I have also been republican for all of my adult life which is nothing to ever be ashamed of. I think she is a great pick because she understands the issues a bit more than people give her credit for. She might not be in the DC "CIRCLE OF TRUST" but I think that makes her stronger and not as easily persuaded by other politicians (like favors or whatnot). As she said at the GOP, "We are going to clean house!" I think she will do a great job as the VP and McCain made a very intelligent decision by choosing her, in more ways than one. : ) She is a very strong and opinionated woman, and is not scared to let Obama know she doesn’t care much for him or his policies! She reminds me of myself! ; )

Ok I would like to begin by spelling Maghen's name right for the first time in any of these comments. Before you run away and give Palin the debate you should look at facts rather than feelings. For example CNN reports that, "Following the debate, only one member of the focus group said they had decided to support the McCain-Palin ticket based on the debate; a half-dozen or more said they would now back Obama and Biden." Just because she "held her head up high, and is very strong and opinionated woman" does not make her the right choice for VP. Her attacks on Obama are ridiculous and are causing a rising surge for the Obama/Biden ticket. She did make some comments above what everyone expected which in a way was a moral victory but nothing more than that. I would also like to go on the record as saying a VP who is "supposively" compared to Ami Jackson frightens me more than electing Bush for a third term.

Um, I'm pretty sure that I know who "anonymous" is. I don't see where you get the right to go your husbands’ ex-fiancés blog and write anything! So, thank you for not actually revealing your name even though it's VERY obvious who you are. I think what you need to do is stop making impolite and uncalled for insults like your husband and get a grip. If you had any balls like I do (AND LIKE PALIN) you wouldn't be afraid to leave the comment in YOUR NAME! If you have any more “beef” with me, have the balls to write it on my blog! NOT MAGHENS!

This is another example of how intelligent you really are Ami. I (Ryan) wrote that comment and the only reason it was anonymous is because I do not have a screen name on here. I am sure your watching the debate right now and coming up with your intellectual analysis of the situation. Clearly I was commenting on this article and your comments on this article and thats why I responded here. We both know your an intellectual giant and nobody compares to you other than McCain and Palin. However, I will not respond to your or Maghen's blog anymore as we see you can not take a negative comment or a joke. Once again this is Ryan.
